CAVU Aerospace
BIG METAL. BIG MOVES.

There's a new legend on the lot—and it's turning heads in Roswell, NM. CAVU Aerospace is proud to welcome N272UP (MSN 48571), an ex-UPS MD-11 freighter, to its final destination: a high-standard teardown, the CAVU way.
This aircraft may no longer be flying packages across continents, but its journey is far from over. As a heavy-lift veteran, the MD-11 once ruled the skies as a cargo king. Now, under the skilled hands of our Roswell team, it's entering a new chapter: fueling the future through sustainable aircraft recycling.
We're not saying this MD-11 came from outer space… but we're not saying it didn't either 😉
One thing's for sure—it's out of this world when it comes to the precision, care, and compliance driving its disassembly.
As a Diamond Level Member of the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA), CAVU Aerospace is committed to delivering teardown and recycling processes that protect our planet and maximize residual value. From nose to tail, every step of this MD-11's disassembly will meet the highest global sustainability standards.
Because at CAVU, retirement doesn't mean the end—it means a new mission. From cargo king to circular economy queen—this aircraft's story continues, and we're proud to be part of it.
